Recent Conferences & Events United in Care - The 1st National Conference 1st December 2004 - Royal College of Physicians, London Organised by MEP Ltd for the British Geriatrics Society 'United in Care' aimed to identify ways to improve interdisciplinary collaboration among the health professionals providing health care for older people. The steering group included representatives from Chartered Physiotherapists Working with Older People (AGILE), Occupational Therapy for Older People (OTOP), the Royal College of Nursing, the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists, the City University London & St Bartholomew School of Nursing & Midwifery, NE London Workforce Development Confederation, the Nutritional Advisory Group for Elderly People (NAGE) and the Royal College of General Practitioners. The morning sessions of the conference celebrated areas of achievement in British practice, updating participants on state-of-the-art care, particularly following the implementation of the National Service Framework for Older People and highlighting the role of older people’s health teams in providing these innovations.
