History

The Medical Education Partnership (MEP) was set up by Jane Jones in 1997 as the publishing and medical wing of GCI Healthcare. Following a management buy-out in June 2002, MEP established itself as an independent medical education company specialising in effective, targeted and intelligent medical communications.

Our philosophy

MEP believes in quality, editorial integrity and independence. Our aim is to create clinically useful and indispensible medical educational resources for health professionals that are:

  • Creative - make a real difference to practice.

  • Practical - involve clinicians at every stage.

  • Peer-reviewed - provide credible, authoritative editorial.

  • International - facilitate global dissemination.

MEP and the ABPI code of practice

MEP has a practical understanding of the ABPI code of practice (2006) and recognises and supports the sponsoring company's accountability to the code in all educational initiatives, at all times.

People

MEP employs a professional team of highly-skilled people with extensive publishing and clinical experience and an advisory board of leading clinical experts. MEP also works with a network of experienced freelancers who share our enthusiasm for attention to detail.
